Owlpen Manor Wedding Photography: Owlpen Manor is a characterful, family owned Cotswold Country House in the pretty village of Uley that just happens to come with its very own church as well as one of the most stunning landscaped gardens you are likely to see anywhere. The Cotswolds doesn’t come more quintessential than this!
So Helen and Darren, quite understandably, wanted to have their whole wedding day here and had booked the church for their ceremony as well as choosing to have a marquee in the grounds overlooking the house and gardens. Stunning doesn’t quite cover it.
There’s always that what if it rains? apprehension though when it comes to opting for a marquee wedding (it is the Cotswolds after all!) but on this occasion our lucky couple needn’t have worried as they were blessed with bright blue skies, fluffy white clouds and loads of sunshine throughout the whole day. This meant we were able to explore and use the house and gardens to their maximum potential which was an absolute joy.
I loved Helen and Darren’s relax, go with the flow attitude and their trust in me to just go about capturing their day as naturally as possible. There were some genuinely brilliant moments at this wedding, many of which I’m pleased I did manage to get – just!
Owlpen Manor is perhaps not one of the region’s most well-known wedding venues – something the owners are quite happy with by all accounts – but if your idea of the perfect wedding is getting a country house set in grounds to die for all to yourself then look no further.
Here’s a few pictures from Helen and Darren’s wedding to give you a flavour…
