Gloucestershire pre Wedding Photography – Minchinhampton Common: Minchinhampton Common is arguably the jewel in the Cotswold’s crown. Anyone who has never been should visit in the Spring/Summer time when the farmers let their cows on to the fields to roam amongst the seemingly oblivious golfers from the local club. Always makes me smile, year after year.
Anyway, we digress. Today we were here with Lisa and Connor to get a few pre wedding pictures and settle the nerves in good time for their wedding at Rockley Manor in June. Having not met either of them before the shoot, I wasn’t sure how comfortable they were about having their pictures taken. Twenty minutes in though and it was obvious they weren’t going to have any problems on their wedding day: relaxed, smiling, easy, easy easy!
There are so many “props” on the Common but there is one tree in particular that really caught my eye so we used this for a few of the large scale shots which I particularly liked and think worked well. In what was less than an hour we’d finished but in that time Lisa and Connor had developed a real confidence in front of the lens which, by their own admittance, they didn’t have previously. In a nutshell, this is why I always recommend pre wedding shoots.
Here is a selection of pictures from our morning’s session…
