Frampton Court Wedding Photography: This wedding was up there with the very best of them. Reasons? Firstly, a stunning wedding venue in Frampton Court – incredible grounds, views and a majestic palace of a house. Then we had almost every type of weather possible throughout the day from pounding rain and dark skies through to the golden hour glow making for the perfect photographer’s canvas. Finally, every great wedding has a great couple and Pia and Hamish really were the perfect hosts, Pia especially not only being one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever photographed but also great fun too and a complete joy to work with. I just love it when a couple trust you implicitly and these two just let me do my thing while playing such an important role too.
We’d already had a pre wedding shoot run through up on Rodborough Common earlier in the summer and got some lovely shots on a particularly warm and sunny day so I knew that on their Frampton Court wedding day they’d be putty in my hands. The ceremony was at the local church and then it was back to their pretty lakeside marquee on the estate for the remainder of the day.
One of my favourite moments among so many was their long walk from the house to join their party waiting eagerly at the marquee with their Piper leading the way. As you’ll see this was such a dramatic shot which did have me wondering at the time whether I should have been with the guests shooting back at them. I’m so glad I didn’t waver!
This really is a blog where the pictures do the talking and I was so glad I was the photographer these two chose to put their trust in. I was thrilled to receive an email from Pia and Hamish shortly after (see below!) saying how thrilled they were with their wedding pictures and actually caught up with them at another wedding recently where they handed me a beautifully written thank you card too…
“Hi Ian,
Just Wow. These are absolutely brilliant. We just relived the whole day! Not only have you captured gorgeous shots of us but the pictures of our guests are beyond what we had hoped for. It’s all there. There were so many facets to the day that are captured, thank you so much.
It was such a pleasure having you there and you guided us through everything seamlessly- the weather seems to have worked in our favour in many of these!
Thank you again, we couldn’t have been in better photographic hands.
