Clearwell Castle Wedding Photography: I am due to shoot Sam and Krupa’s Indian and English wedding ceremonies towards the end of August and with one of the wedding venues being Clearwell Castle, it seemed like a good idea to head there for our pre wedding shoot and get some practice in before the big day.
Gloucestershire’s Clearwell Castle is a hidden gem of a wedding venue – not open to the public and pretty much off the beaten track but so worth choosing with its wonderful gardens and fabulous, imposing castle interior. We started on the lawn to the side of the house before exploring a little and discovering some wonderful reflections coming off of the lake which we all agreed were a must have.
The beauty of somewhere like Clearwell Castle is that once you have framed the shot, you can pretty much leave your couple to just be themselves, try a few things because you know in amongst the frames will be “the ones” and there certainly were on this day. Sam and Krupa really embraced the session and seemed completely unfazed by me taking their photographs: something that really shines through in their pictures which are stunning (I just pressed the buttons, they did all the work!).
I’m really looking forward to coming back here in August as Clearwell Castle is a venue perfectly suited to wedding photography. In the meantime have a look at a selection of shots taken from the session and see what you think…
