Bristol Wedding Photography-SS Great Britain: This was my second wedding on board the wonderful SS Great Britain in just a few months. Heath and Sadie met with me initially at the Royal Marriott Hotel in Bristol (where their wedding breakfast and party would take place but more of that later…) to talk through the detailed logistics of their wedding, especially given that they’d opted for two venues for their day.
After meeting up with Sadie earlier in her bridal suite for a few detail shots of the dress, shoes, jewellery, etc. I headed down to the hotel lobby to meet Heath, friends and family in time to board a splendid old, green, single decker bus which would transport us all over to the SS Great Britain. They don’t make them like this any more…
Having captured the all important arrival of the bride, I quickly headed on board ready for the wedding service. The SS Great Britain really is such an intimate place to get married and the long walk through the ship one of the prettiest with its pastel yellow walls, ornate woodwork and natural light streaming in from above.
Afterwards it was up on top for a few informal shots of people enjoying the wonderful sunshine. Before long though, we were back on board the old bus (this time with one additional passenger!) to be taken back to the hotel for the evening’s celebrations.
I left at about 10 as the party was in full swing. Heath and Sadie were an absolutely charming couple and it was a pleasure sharing their day with them.
