Coombe Lodge Wedding Photography: “I’m up here!” said Chris, poking his head out of the top window of the pretty little Plume of Feathers pub in Blagdon. And so the day began…
Chris and Lori had chosen Coombe Lodge as their wedding venue and as the lads were staying minutes away at the local pub, getting a few candids of them having a loosener or two was super easy. Nice start to the day with Chris on top form.
Lori and the girls were quaffing something fizzy when I got to them and spirits were already high – love the madness of the bridal prep. The room was great for shots with tons of character and natural light. Lori also looked strikingly beautiful in a classical, English rose kind of way and the camera liked her very much.
As you’ll see, they’d lucked out on one of the hottest, sunniest days of the year which made for some great outdoor ceremony shots. We were also able to make use of that lovely early evening summer glow and with speeches over, both of them were relaxed and up for anything I threw at them so we just had a wander around the beautiful grounds and snapped away. It was only really when I started to edit their pictures a week or so later I realised what gorgeous moments we’d captured. These two were goood!
So my first wedding at Coombe Lodge and a belter it was too. See what you think…
