Cassie and Greg – Wedding Photography Berkeley Castle: The conversation went something like this: Me. “So Cassie, any plans for your first dance?” Cassie “ I was a dancer so we have a few things up our sleeve…”
Just one of the things Cassie, Greg and I chatted about when we met up at Berkeley Castle a few weeks before their Bonfire Night wedding to say hi (our first one) and to talk about what we’d do if it poured down (it sooo didn’t) on the day. And she wasn’t joking either! As it turned out their first dance was a jaw dropping, magnificent, crazy, super romantic feat of grace and athleticism that was a real privilege to witness. Respect to Greg too for the immense strength and crazy handstand start…this was no ordinary first dance.
And there was no need to worry about the weather either as it turned out to be a magnificent sunny (but not too sunny) day so we were able to get loads and loads of shots outside including some rather nice panoramics of the two of them soaking up the views and backdrop that only Berkeley Castle does on such a grand scale. The castle really is such an astonishingly stunning venue and offers so much both inside and out and Pippa, Berkeley’s wedding planner and organiser, does such an amazing job too of keeping everything on track. I’ve done a number of weddings there now and it is always, always like this.
And the other stuff? Well Cassie and Greg were married in the wonderful church next door before heading to the castle for drinks and Canapés on the lawn. The wedding breakfast was in the magnificent banqueting hall and culminated in a big sing song with everyone singing to the bride and groom who lapped up every moment – great fun!
And then it was the first dance. THE First Dance. from the moment Greg and Cassie entered the hall, you knew it was going to kick off big time. The dancing was amazing and the guests went wild. I tried to capture it as best as I could and think I got enough to show them how good they were. The videographer must have been having a field day.
Cassie and Greg, you were brilliant fun all day and I’m so pleased you chose me to photograph your brilliantly crazy wedding. I’m thrilled you love your pictures so much and that they capture the essence of your relationship with one another. And thank you for these kind words too…
“Wowee….what can we say! We have just finished looking through the photos and we are blown away. Not only are the shots absolutely stunning and everything we hoped for but you managed to get Greg and I and our relationship down to a tee. We are thrilled to bits! Right, I’m off to look through them all again! Thanks so much!”
