Great Tythe Barn wedding photography: Looking back a few months to when David, Jo and their three doggies joined me for a wander round the gorgeous Miserden Estate for a relaxed pre-wedding session, I couldn’t believe how quickly time had flown. But here I was, back in Miserden at the village local watching David tucking in to hearty fry up with his Dad and buddies and only a couple of hours before his wedding. Way to go, lads.
Their ceremony was held in the village church after which everyone jumped in their cars for a thirty minute trip to Tetbury and one of its flagship wedding venues, the Great Tythe Barn. Barns are becoming increasingly trendy and sought after as wedding venues, certainly in the Cotswold’s and the Great Tythe Barn is one of the best, especially for photography with plenty of natural ‘props’ to choose from.
And there were some great moments too as I recall. David’s dad, a giant of a man with a personality to match, spent most of his day keeping everyone entertained and I must say I really enjoyed his company and thank him for his contribution to many of my shots! Watching David trying to rehearse his speech in the car park while getting a ribbing from one of his best men was also very amusing.
David and Jo’s brief to me was simply to capture the best bits of their wedding day and as naturally as possible. They were far less in to the frills and formalities but simply wanted lots and lots of pictures of everyone having a great time which I’d like to think I achieved for them.
Thanks David and Jo for choosing me. I had a great time capturing you have an even greater one and am genuinely thrilled you love your wedding pictures so much.
Talking of which, here’s a small selection…
