Eastington Park Wedding Photography: My first of three weddings this year at Eastington Park, a gorgeous Georgian country house formerly a nursing home but now one of Gloucestershire’s finest exclusive use wedding venues.
Having first met up with Cat and Ian in Cheltenham last year, Cat’s infectious laugh was an early tell tale sign that their wedding was going to be a pretty chilled out affair. Absolutely no cheesy posing was my brief which is just how I like it. Natural moments a plenty…
With everyone getting ready in the main building, I spent most of the morning going from bride to groom and back again in various states of undress (them not me…). One of Cat’s friends was heavily pregnant and therefore unable to attend the day so rather sweetly they’d had a lifelike mini statuette made of her so she could still ‘enjoy the day’ with them – a nice touch.
All went swimmingly with the ceremony and with group shots out of the way it was time to venture out in to the gardens to explore. As anyone will tell you I love my trees and at Eastington Park you are spoilt for choice. We also had a rope swing and a very (very) large log which I sensed with these two were going to get some use!
Occasionally, spontaneously, magical things just happen and Cat and Ian’s impromptu leap in to the air – blue Converse’s proudly on display – was an absolute corker to behold. Check it out in the shots below…
Please note: In keeping with Cat and Ian’s wishes, only pictures of the two of them and shots of the venue are included below…
