Berkeley Castle Wedding Photography in Gloucestershire: What’s not to love about Berkeley Castle? Magnificent views, that castle and you get to play King and Queen for the day. A fine choice of location then for Harry and Helen’s wedding and with the ceremony taking place earlier in Worcestershire, it was a quick blast back down the M5 to Berkeley for the wedding breakfast and evening’s celebrations.
The trouble with some of the grand, historical wedding venues is that you don’t really get allowed to use the best bits which can be a shame. Not Berkeley Castle though: here they give you pretty much full access to wander about and soak up the atmosphere of which there is plenty and on this particular occasion, Helen’s gorgeous flowing wedding dress could not have been more perfectly suited.
And you’re not packed off either in to some far off corner for dinner but instead are allowed to use the Castle’s magnificent banqueting hall, allowing for some great shots when taken from the mezzanine floor which, I’m told, was used to throw unfunny jesters off in days of old!
This was never going to be anything other than a perfect wedding and it was an inspired idea to have wood fired pizza’s served later in the evening which went down a treat. Not one to clock watch, I stayed late enough to discover Harry and Helen’s penchant for 80’s rock music, leaving with the air guitars in full swing. A rockin’ wedding!
