Berkeley Castle – Gloucestershire Wedding Photography: I’ve shot at Berkeley Castle on a number of occasions now and never fail to be astonished at how beautiful it is and what a brilliant place it must be to get married.
Helen and Jeremy had therefore chosen well. We’d already met twice – both times at the castle – and with a thoroughly enjoyable pre wedding shoot (and fab pics) under our belts already, we were all set for the big day. I’d spent the morning at Helen’s mum and dad’s while she and the girls got ready before heading off to Berkeley to meet up with Jeremy and the lads and and to catch some of the guests arriving.
I should mention the church at Berkeley Castle is worth the entrance fee alone and to get married in it, a treat. I’m sure Helen wouldn’t mind me saying this but she is the quintessential English Rose and fitted her surroundings perfectly as she made her way down the aisle. Jeremy’s face was a picture!
With another glorious sunny day, we spent the next few hours outside and I had plenty of time to capture a few group pictures as well as taking Jeremy and Helen of for some shots of just the two of them. These two were such good fun that I almost forgot I was working!
There were a number of surprises at this wedding, including Helen and a few friends putting in a great musical performance halfway through the wedding breakfast, Helen in particular nailing it in the vocals department! Jeremy’s face was pretty similar to the one he wore as Helen entered the church a little while earlier…
I seem to be blessed with great couples who book me for their weddings and Helen and Jeremy were up there with the best of them. Great fun, utterly charming and the most important bit…thrilled with the pictures I sent them a few weeks later. They were also kind enough to drop me the following line or two…
