2016 – Wedding Photography Year in Review: So here it is…forty one weddings, sixteen thousand seven hundred and four pictures whittled down to a small selection of gorgeous moments from my 2016 wedding year.
As always, this year has been a wonderful, emotional rollercoaster ride and I’m not embarrassed to admit my chin has wobbled on a number of occasions. Yet again, I’ve crossed paths with so many lovely people who put their trust in me to capture their most special of days and I’ve genuinely enjoyed every single moment, continuing to be amazed and touched by the number of heartfelt thank you’s I receive.
And I’ve got to shoot at a number of new venues along the way (Elmore Court, Kirtlington Manor…you are truly beautiful) as well as being very ably assisted at some too by my brother in law and sister (Team Hughes!) – great fun. I’ve seen the best first dance I’m ever likely to see (Cassie and Greg, really just wow…), had a dog as a ring bearer and was even been presented with a Leicester City scarf during a wedding (Pete and Rachel, you stars!) as a thank you present: I support them but am keeping this a little quieter this season for obvious reasons. Thank you all again.
So it’s been a brilliant year and 2017 is already filling up fast. Things to look out for? I’m very excited to be launching a new website in the next few weeks so please watch this space. I’m also going to (finally, I know, I know…) start an Ian Baker Photography instagram page. Of course if you do happen to be looking at this review, are beginning your wedding plans and like what you see in the selection below then please do get in touch – I’d love to help.
Happy New Year everyone!
