Following on from Linda and Peter’s pre wedding shoot in Chiswick Park the week previously and as a local Chiswick wedding photographer, I was really looking forward to this wedding …
Linda and Peter had requested a few pictures of them all at home getting ready, kids playing, relatives arriving, etc, etc so things were lively to say the least! With three children at home myself, I was used to a busy household but was still impressed by how relaxed everyone was considering the occasion. Linda and Peter were getting married at St Saviours Church in Chiswick so after an hour or so of getting ready shots, we headed off. As this was my first wedding at St Saviour’s Church, I’d been sure to visit beforehand to check lighting as well as where to position myself to get the best shots – invaluable and makes the experience on the day just that little bit less stressful, believe me!
Following their delightful wedding ceremony (including Oscar, their young son, delivering a faultless reading which I’m sure made for very proud parents…), we all headed outside for a quick group picture or two alongside the church and then it was off again, this time a short walk to the highly acclaimed La Trompette restaurant for an intimate gathering with friends and family. This really was a delightful wedding: intimate, full of joy, everyone enjoying themselves and I must also say Linda and Peter were fabulous hosts who still gave their time to make sure that not only their guests but also I was looked after too. I kept reassuring them that I was thoroughly enjoying their wedding celebrations but also needed to take a picture or two while I was there!
And things were not finished there because the following day we all headed west to Homewood Park near Bath, one of the finest country house hotels in the west country. Where yesterday was the more formal wedding occasion with family, this was jeans, wellies and falcons…oh and a black tie dinner in the evening followed by a disco!!! Linda and Peter had meticulously planned this day so that the children as well as their parents all had a great time with plenty to see and do. I think I started at about 11 in the morning and put the camera down just before midnight so when I say I provide unlimited wedding coverage, I’m a man of my word!
Here are a selection of pictures from both wedding days…
